Teacher Housing Initiative

Teachers, and the schools where they teach, are the backbone of great communities. Red Oak believes firmly in the value teachers bring to our communities. Our philanthropic program – TEACH (Teachers’ Economic Advancement through Community Homeownership) is a mission-driven program to help teachers become homeowners in our communities.

In each community, Red Oak sets aside a select number of homesites and passes through 100% of our profits from the sale of that land as a credit for teachers to apply toward the purchase price of a new home. The TEACH credit is applied during the home closing process, reducing the financial burden and making homeownership attainable for teachers.

By offering the TEACH program for educators, we’re creating communities that attract and retain talented educational professionals, helping them build wealth and encouraging them to stronger connections with students and their families in our communities.
